Multi-level mezzanine racking

Uses the racking structures to support one or more walkway levels. It exploits building height and increases usable area without extending the building. Levels can host manual storage, order-picking zones or circulation. The project includes live loads, stairs, guardrails, handling access and fire safety.

Applications

  • Warehouses with high clear height
  • Spare-parts stores
  • Order-picking centres
  • Light or intermediate product storage
  • Logistics platforms
  • Industrial workshops

Advantages

  • Vertical use of the building
  • Additional floor area
  • Products organised by family
  • Direct access to SKUs
  • Improved picking
  • Manual pallet trucks possible on platforms (subject to sizing)

INDURA offers industrial racking solutions to organise, optimise and secure storage spaces. The range covers manual storage of small parts as well as installations for heavy loads, long products, industrial moulds, archives and multi-level warehouses. Each installation is designed according to the nature of the products, the loads, the handling method, the available height and the building constraints.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between light and heavy-duty racking?

Light-duty racking is for manually handled products. Heavy-duty racking uses stronger uprights and beams to take heavy or palletised loads. Actual capacity always depends on the sizing of the installation.

Which racking for tubes and profiles?

Cantilever racking is usually the best fit. Its cantilevered arms store long products without obstructing front uprights.

How can I increase warehouse capacity without extending the building?

A storage mezzanine exploits available height and creates one or more extra levels. The layout must be validated by a structural and functional study.

Which system for heavy industrial moulds?

Pull-out drawer racking gives easy access to injection moulds, dies and heavy tooling. Drawers must be sized to actual loads.
